Passport is out of date, just needed to know whether i should go to dublin at the weekend to renew it...that's all.
Also - i've been looking at getting some waterproof gloves - with the removable liners - any suggestions/recommendations?
Thanks, J

From the Stena Line website:
"Irish citizens travelling to Britain do not need a passport but are advised to take a form of identity."
For any gear at this point I'd suggest waiting until you get to Fort William, with the exchange rate you should be able to get nice gloves in the abundance of outdoor shops there nice and cheap.

personally i always like to have my passport with me when iam out of the country... ill also need my driving license so ill have both... but if your passport is not available or out of date the license is fine ( provided its in date ;D) For anyone who is not an Irish citizen you will need your Passport to the best of my knowledge..... its something to do with a transit agreement between the UK and Ireland... ;D Is Mise Le Meas Cillian

Hey guys just thought I'd let ye know how we're getting on. Everyone finished training today and all are safe. We're taking it easy tomorrow and heading to steall falls and then the pool to unwind. Aonach mor on monday so the newbies can work on their skills then hopefully weather permiting we'll head for Nevis on Tuesday. The beginner training headed up around the CIC hut today seeing as its one of the few places your garrunteed to find ice at the moment after the big thaw. Cold weather due during the week though so we're hopeful. Plenty opf ice around for us to go climbing on though. We'll keep posting. Check out www.opcscotland.blogspot.com in the next day or so and see some pics an read about our antics. Its blank at the moment but we're foing up the past few days tonight.
