i mean if people come in not being a member they give 3 or 4 euro, that shoud be set aside for maintance, i deffinatelly agree with a wall maintence section in the budget
and the bolts i have prevoiusly bought them so if you want i can get an invoice, estimate and we can get them. how many are needed of each size?

Who stole my drill from the climbing wall?
I'm not mad I just want it back so I can hang shelves in my room.

Truth is Tony we actually don't bring in much money at all like that. I've personally never brought in any while supervising, rather I've just convinced them to join :-P
I'm planning to be in Limerick around the 12th (or at least a day before Scotland anyway) and was going to get the Bolts then, but if your willing your more than welcome to get them and I'll get a cheque sorted for you as soon as I am up ^.^
I'm not completely sure how many we would need. Anybody who sets routes regularly want to estimate? (I'll get in touch with Davis too and see if he has an idea)

there are plenty of holds in the locker that are in perfectly good condition and a pyramid would be cool! but as far as bolts go we would need about 15-25 long and 20-30 short bolts and all of these need to have a beveled head. we shouldn't need more than this because i will reuse bolts that i get when i take route down(to refresh the wall!).
Dose anyone know when the canpus board will be done because i have a few ideas for the wood from our makeshift canpus board.

The bolts have been ordered for a while now, but the guy we ordered from has been fucking us around. Davis has set him an ultimatum, if they are not here by Wednesday he can go to hell.
As for the Pyramids, there is no money to build them. If you want to donate feel free. We have not yet been able to secure funding to do anything down there.
If the money is got, it could be possible to get it done this summer. While they will make a nice addition, they aren't overly necessary at the moment. The club has it's budgeted activities and events to worry about right now.

am I wrong in thinking that the trip to wales is costing less than the original planned sport climbing trip? Does this not mean that there would be some extra money left over that was budgeted for the sport trip that could go into the pyramids/campus board? the cost is reasonably small so if not maybe every1 could just donate a fiver or something.

Not as much money is there as you think. Don't forget we do have a lot less money than we had this year.
We will make sure everything that is budgeted for is covered first throughout the year (includes the Alps) and if there is money left over, then we can probably use it for the wall.
We are already planning on submitting a budget for the climbing wall itself, which is something we've never had since I have been here anyway. This will give us secured funding for the development of the wall next year.
Edit: I would also rather do a bunch of improvements to the wall in one go, such as ones previously discussed, instead of doing bits here and there. If we get the money, the list of what we want to do, we can seal the wall for a week and do it all.

if tony has the gear to do it.. we have people willing to put in a days work to make lets say 3 pymirids.. we have 100e for supplies.. maybe some spare wood lieing around... and maybe invest a small amount of the budget since we went to wales instead of spain.. would it be ossible to make them before the end of term?

I say wait until the summer.
We have to make sure they would be structurally sound. I am not sure how many others in the club at the moment can do the necessary things or relevant experience, but I know Harr can and I would rather pay someone that will make something we know will last and not fail. (Not saying Harr will do it, but he does have the experience).
Waiting until the summer or even next semester is not going to make a difference. There are other improvements planned as well such as the campus board and I think it would be best to do them all in one go.
No money will be given until we know exactly what we will have after everything else this semester and the Alps this summer are catered for.

Just wondering what are pymirids never heard of them in climbing before?

If you can imagine a pyramid type structure shape literally jutting out of the wall, or in a corner or something, that would be a pretty alright description.
