Hey lads
So you’re probably fairly settled in at this stage and ready for some action. WEEK 2 beckons….
Hope all of you enjoyed our first trip of the semester on Sunday in Mangerton. All ye lads who didn’t go seriously missed out. As Paul reported, they encountered all four seasons throughout the day, from snow to blizzards and from sun showers to rain.
Next SUNDAY 10th FEBRUARY, we’ll be doing something different and heading to the BURREN in Co. Clare for some rock-climbing/caving. The bus will leave from the Stables Arch at 9am sharp and cost is 8euro; a sign-up sheet will be put up on Wednesday. You may choose to do either rock-climbing/caving. Please wear warm clothes, runners, rain jacket and bring a packed lunch. For caving, please bring some rubber gloves. All other gear and equipment will be provided. **NOTE: It is quite likely that due to weather conditions (rain, cold), that it will not be suitable for climbing. Our next option is to go on a hike so please bring your HIKING BOOTS!!!!
Just to let you know, WEEK 3 is mainly reserved for ‘Scotland Training’ so unfortunately there will be no Sunday trip that week
In WEEK 4, the Orienteering Intervarsities will be held in Dublin during the weekend. Please find in the Orienteering section of the message board further details. Please send your name to sharonlucey@gmail.com by Tuesday 12th Feb, Week 3.
Keep an eye out for information on a CLUB NIGHT OUT, planned for WEEK 3. We have a full schedule of trips for the rest of the semester, including our first weekend trip in WEEK 4, where our activities and location will remain a MYSTERY…yes, it’s our very popular MYSTERY WEEKEND!!!!
And that’s about all for this week!!
Talk to you soon
