It's getting close now, only a few days until the madness begins. For those of you who haven't heard yet the Climbing Intervarsities are taking place here in UL this weekend. But before that we have some great nights planned. Firstly we are running a mini climbing film festival as follows: Wednesday Feb 18th - 'Underdeveloped' - 8pm - KBG12 Thursday Feb 19th - 'Hardgrit' - 8pm - Jonathon Swift These films are free to attend for anyone interested. There is a club night out in the Lodge on Wed night after the film. We will be selling tickets for this at the film and in the Stable's/Scholar's bars. And as if this wasn't enough we will then have a climbing talk by our guest speaker Steve McClure on Friday Feb 20th at 8pm in the Scholar's bar. Admission €3 for students and €7 otherwise. Then this brings us to the intervarsities: Saturday Feb 21st - Bouldering CompetitionSunday Feb 22nd - Lead CompetitionBoth these events will be taking place at the UL climbing wall located in the PESS building on campus and are open to all to come down to watch. We are having a night out after the Bouldering Competition on Sat night. With Floyd Soul and the Wolf playing in the Granary bar in Trinity Rooms at 8pm and climbers from all over the country, this night is going to be one not to miss. For all the information on the events this week check out the website: www.climbingintervarsity.com

have the footballers been denied their balls hurlers their hurls kayakers their boats rowers their oars i could go on.
i smell a conspiracy, every one knows the Pe department don't want the climbing wall in their building.

On topic ;D Well done to everyone and to those who could not be there to see it all come together. Ye did a great job as usual ;D, regardless of how much the college tried to make life difficult for you . I hope your effort does not go unnoticed and the college acknowledges the fantastic service you provide voluntarily to entertain your fellow students. Congrats on a great weekend.

Well done and thanks to everyone involved in this weekend... :)everything was sucessfull in the end... Most importantly great climbing was enjoyed by all, not to mention the great entertainment each night... ;D To Clarify: The PE department not wanting the Climbing Wall in their building is not true or even an issue . General access to the climbing wall is being actively resolved as i type. The Wall also will be getting a face lift in the coming Days/ Weeks. So there will be lots of new Routes to try in the near future Mise Le Meas Cillian
