What's the craic? I hope all is well. Here's what's happening this week in the OPC:
Hill Walking & Caving
We will go to the Galtee mountains on Sunday the 29th of March in Co Tipperary for Hill Walking and will end up in Co Cork when the hike is finished it is a great day on the mountain and highly recommended.
The usual applies leave from the Stables archway at 9:00 am. Boots and warm clothes are essential and bring a packed lunch and plenty of Water. A sign up Sheet will be at the Red Raisins Cafe on the OPC notice Board from Wednesday morning.
For cavers the galtees offer a fantastic view of the OLD Desmond cave steeped in local history and a near relation of the current commercial cave.
The Trip on Sunday will be great. but places are strictly limited. Old desmond involves rope work and a vertical rope ladder to get in and so people who have previously caved will get priority.
group size will be 7 people plus Cillian.... send an E-mail early to Cillian to guarantee your spot..

Climbing Wall
The climbing wall will be opened the same hours as usual next wk. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7 pm to 10 pm and will not close for Rag Week
Next Wknd Trip
The next week end trip will take place on the wknd of April the 24th and 25th Friday, Saturday, Sunday of Wk12. This will be the last trip of the semester to say goodbye and have a bit of craic before the exams.
We will either go to Letterfrack in Connemara or Doolin Co Clare. We will conform the destination soon. Make sure to keep that wknd free because I promise it will be a wknd not to be missed.
Student Union Elections Thursday 19th March
Our very own Fergal Dempsey is running for Campaigns and Services Officer in the Students Union election.
Voting is this Thursday from 9-6 in 6 locations on campus.
For his full manifesto and campaign notes check out:
www.fergal4cso.com
Or join the facebook group:
www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=78284330069
We need all students to come out and vote. We would really appreciate it if you would vote Fergal #1 for CSO.
Fergal is the best candidate for this position. He has a strong knowledge of Clubs and Societies, Ents and is not going to continue this 'clique' that exists in the Union. He wants RAG week to be YOUR week and will fight for more and better acts on campus. He will do great things for us.
Also,
Vote Ruan Dillon McLoughlin (www.voteruan.com) #1 for SU President.
Vote David Dolphin (pf.skynet.ie) #1 for Communications Officer (formally PPO).
Remember, VOTE THIS THURSDAY (26th March) in the:
PESS,
Health Sciences,
Students Union,
Red Raisins,
Library,
Schumann.

Dont be afraid to get involved lads its all for craic and more importantly its all for charity.
Anyone interested in taking up a bit of orienteering please give niall a shout: niallo-flynner@hotmail.com
