Hey guys Here is some info about the next Championship event that is coming up: Connacht Orienteering ChampionshipsOrganisers: Galway Orienteers "The Western Eagles" Date: Sunday 29th November 2009Venue: Finner Sandhills, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal. Grid Ref G 857 608 (Yes I know, in Ulster and not Connacht) The event will be signposted from between Bundoran and Ballyshannon Start Times: Start times will be from 11am to 1pm. Map: The map scale is 1:10,000 with 5 metre contours. Resurveyed in 2006 by Padraic Higgins, Revised 2009 Terrain: Sand dunes with only a small number of paths Classes: Men's and Women's 18, M/W20 (anyone under the age of 20 can compete in this category. M/W21 Novice, Short and Long (the 21's is an open category and people of all ages can enter this category. If unsure as to what to enter, drop me a line). Hey guys
We have one place left in the car going up to Donegal this weekend. Leaving Limerick around 1.30 and stopping en route for the match. Staying in Bundoran, orienteering Sun morn and then driving back to Limerick. Last day for entries is today me thinks so if anyone is interested let me know as soon as ye can please. Thanking ye
