very impressive. i'm half way through crime and punishment, i love it! favourite book so far, better than war and peace by a mile.
i couldn't think of any sci-fi titles for the poll

i wish i had time to read. took 'touching the void' out of the library about a month or so ago and never got a chance to read it. last book i read was 'state of fear' by michael crichton over the summer. not a bad book, bit long, but raised some interesting issues about the environment, and what isn't being done to conserve it. i'll probably bring a paper with me on saturday - someone told me last week that there was riots in france for about 2 weeks. i never even heard about that! maybe i should watch more tv and spend less time at the wall.............

I read "Learning to Breathe" recently by Andy Cave. It's a story of the life of Andy Cave who was a miner in the eighties who during the strikes got into climbing. It then follows him on his climb of the north face of Changabang in the Himilayas. Great book.

my apologies: the library is the big building on the UCH side of the main building. it contains many, many books which u can burrow upon producing your student card at the service desk. it also contains the best public computers on campus.
