Anyone interested in just going over to Maybe Chamonix and trying Mont Blanc or something this summer for a week or two? I'd love to do something, but looks like there's no great demand for it this year.
Now's the time to think about it, better to be able to ask for a week or two off when you're starting in a job. If there's any out there.

The club is actually looking into this currently and if we get enough people interested then we'll be able to run the trip. Unfortunately if we dont then we will have to cancel it this year. Is there anyone interested in going?

Even if we can't organise a trip I'd be interested in heading over for a short period with Ryan Air and doing something. Won't have a hape of free time this summer (what a bummer). Just recieved the first 'we'll break your legs' letter from the loan sharks down at AIB there.

i wish i could go but ill be spending the summer doing work experience really enjoyed it last year, alpine climbing is probably the most enjoyable thing ive ever done and its a trip ill never forget. its a pity if it doest go ahead this year but the odds are against it. so many people are gonna be gone for the summer and id really doubt that the money is there for it... if people are interesed though speak up cause if its gonna go ahead there'd have to be numbers for it

You don't need the club to organise a trip, just get a few people together, arrive in Camonix or wherever at the same time and buy some guide books.
ok, so the club won't subsidise the trip, but that never used to happen. If you really want to go, then (to take nike's catch phrase) just do it.
