So on to this week... and boy is it a busy one!!!
***Galtees Trip This Sunday!!!***
This Sunday we'll be making our way to the Galtee Mountains situated in Irelands Golden Vale region. This is a great hike with spectacular views, no better way to see the country! The bus will be leaving the Stables Arch at 9am Sunday morning. MUST HAVE BOOTS and no jeans allowed. You can get boots in TkMaxx, River Deep Mountain High, Radar Stores and sometimes Lidl and Aldi. Sign up sheet will be outside the climbing wall (PESS building) from Wedensday evening until Friday. If you have any questions about the trip or the stuff required please send an email to Paul at trips@ulopc.com.
*OPC Training Thursday*
Thats right we're going to be dedicating Thursday nights to teaching you guys the ropes...and best of all its completely FREE!!! It kicks off down at the climbing wall at 7'o clock this Thursday:
For those of you interested in caving: Cillian will be teaching you all the top tips including info on caving gear and ropework
For all you orienteering fanatics: Jerome will be teaching you all you need to know about the sport including entering competitions and navigational skills
And for the crazy climbers: woodsy will instruct you on some essential beginner climbing techniques and gear use, not to be missed!
Everyone is welcome... no matter what level and if your crazy enough you can even attend all three sessions, whatever floats your boat!
*Midweek Caving*
Midweek Caving is going stronger than ever with a full trip every week. If your interested in giving it a go and seeing what all the hype is about contact Cillian at caving@ulopc.com with your name and number and get yourself on a trip
*Evening Runs*
For all of you interested in keeping fit there will be a run this Tuesday and Thursday leaving from the climbing wall at 6pm... The more the merrier so if your interested in joining contact woodsy at training@ulopc.com
*Party Time!!!*
Now it wouldn't be the OPC without a friendly get together every now and then would it So there'll be a bit of a session next Tuesday with a BBQ (weather permitting) at Keith (Ginge) and Mac's house at 9 Harvard Close, College Court. You know it's going to be good so I'll see ya'll there BYOB & BYOM
