Hi, I just graduated from UL in August and am mad to get involved in any hillwalking/mountain hikes that are going! I'm also really interested in learning some orientation skills! I teach during the week and would love to get involved in any trips, weekend or day trips, or even any evening sessions! I used to climb when I was in college up in Dublin a few years ago and might get involved in that again. How can I get involved??? thanks! Anne-Marie

Hey Annemarie
First of all welcome and thanks for showing an interest in the club. My name is Paul and I am the trip officer with the OPC. What you can do is call to our climbing wall tomorrow Thursday between 7pm and 10pm. It is located in the old PESS (PE Sports Science building). There will be someone there from the club to tell you all the details of what we do. The climbing wall is also open Monday and Tuesday from 7pm - 10pm.
This Sunday we are running a trip to the Burren it is a hiking and Caving trip so you have to chose one im afraid you cant do both. The hiking is an easy hike not to difficult and caving is also highly recommended.
We will leave form the stables archway at 11 in the morning I can sign you up if you want. It will be a nice trip to start on and get to know our members.
Hope this helps. If you have any further questions just reply to the tread or send me an email to trips@ulopc.com.
Take Care
