There's a PDF available to buy online, you just pay and download it. And if there's a PDF of it to buy, there's a PDF of it to illegally download. Not that I'm suggesting such a thing, just saying there would be. The PDF is a perfect scan job of the book, it's probably a digital copy of the book infact, not scanned at all. In any case if you're talking about buying 4 books for 20 quid a shot it'd save a bit of spondoolah. (And yes, I do like using unusual words for Mullah!)

hmm... maybe i need to simplify what I'm saying... Garion, do the copies of the climbing books that you are finding on the internet have pretty colourful pictures of the cliffs with dots showing the lines or is there only words??? if the pretty pictures (topos) are there then thats brill and print away. I'll buy one for myself as i said (only one 20euro purchase ont 4 ;D). If the online copies dont have pretty pictures then the club might need to look into buying a copy.

The routes in Pemborke (even the easier ones) are longer than most in the Burren (leaving Mirror wall and Inis Mor aside, so most leaders will need alot more gear.
The local etiquete (in my time over there & due to the dearth of stakes) was that abseil ropes left in place were fair game for all to use.

a good article on pembroke www.planetfear.com/articles/01_St_Govans_479.html"Pitches are long and generally well protected by wires and the occasional cam or hex, and a triple set of wires is worth taking, as are enough quickdraws to make use of them."

Of course they do. Lovely pretty pictures. What would be the point if they didn't? It'd be like making a pdf of a comic with just the captions.

one other thing
it can be quite breezy and therefore 'brass monkeys' on top of the crag so it's good to have a hoodie or windproof while you're belaying.
