To anyone at a loss as to what to do for the weekend, why not try orienteering and support a truly fantastic cause?
Doneraile Forest Park - The 6th Cliona Callanan Memorial Orienteering Event
This Sixth Annual Cliona Callanan Memorial Orienteering Event will take place this Sunday October 9th 2011 at Doneraile Forest Park (R603076). Cliona was an accomplished junior orienteer and a member of CorkO & the Irish Junior Orienteering Team and her family are still very active in the club.
All proceeds from this event will go to The Cork Children's Leukaemia Association. This is an association that is really close to some of our hearts.
Your support will be greatly appreciated.
Doneraile House is currently being restored and the Doneraile Demesne is now a public Forest Park with a large herd of Red Deer and much other wildlife. Why not come along with a picnic for a nice day out in this historic setting in over 300 acres of wonderful parkland, with courses to suit all levels of ability and experience
White Course - 2.2 km 40m Yellow Course - 2.1 km 30m Orange Course - 3.8 km 70m Green Course - 6.4 km 100m Blue Course - 8.45 km 120m
