The annual OPC Yorkshire Easter training trip will take place over the college Easter break from March 23rd to April 1st for one week.
This is the OPC vertical caving training trip and the Yorkshire dales provides some magnificent cave systems for us to explore over the week, for a taste of the caving available in the area visit the following link;

The trip will include transport, accommodation, caving gear and three days of instruction by qualified guides and promises to be a very exciting trip - So make sure you keep the dates free....
If you are interested in going to Yorkshire this year or would like more information please send an email to cavingopc@gmail.com with “Yorkshire” as the subject line.
The trip is open to all club members and beginners are very welcome… As almost all caving in Yorkshire is vertical, anyone interested in going should attend the weekly SRT training in the UL boathouse. SRT (Single Rope Technique) is the method used to enter and explore vertical caves. Information on SRT Training will be circulated in the weekly caving email. SRT Training will teach you the basics of using SRT gear and the required rope-work skills in a friendly environment.
